(then comes the end)

Sometimes, (all the time) I need to be reminded that the Author of life has already etched out the ending of this story in blood-red ink, with vision that goes beyond this scene (the waking up in pain and the waiting and waiting and wondering - will this ever be over?).

Flip ahead a few pages, "Then comes the end, when [Jesus Christ] delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying EVERY rule and EVERY authority and power." (1 Corinthians 15:24)

The Word made flesh holds my present in nail-pierced hands, "then comes the end," and disease is destroyed, and victory is given through our Lord Jesus Christ.
